“Day at the Seaside” with Holiday at Home

A very big thank you to everyone who helped with Holiday at Home whether it be providing food, helping the night before or on the day.  It was a successful day with 40 people coming from St Mary’s Church, Dennis Potter Sheltered Housing, Tidbury Green Day Centre, Earlswood Lunch Club, and through friends.

Highlights of the day were:

  • Seeing how attractive the dining room looked (Thank you Joyce)
  • Watching two very elderly gentlemen joining in singing My Curly Headed Baby
  • Admiring Rich’s ability to bring a thought for the day down to all our levels
  • Hearing the icecream van arrive on time and the fish and chips
  • Getting a thank you letter from a lady at Dennis Potter Court thanking all the volunteers for all their hard work (“people like you all who put the icing on the cake, keep it up”)
  • Jean Masters’ dad (89) talking about the day on his face book page

With thanks from the ECG Team
