Vacancy: Church Administrator

St Mary’s Church Wythall is a vibrant and active church whose building is part of The Coppice School, Shawhurst Lane B47 5JN. We are seeking to appoint an Administrator to oversee the administrative life of the church, manage the church office and be a known and knowledgeable presence there.

This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week, over at least 4 days, reporting to the Vicar. The salary is £11,960 per annum.

The role will be varied and will include the digital and written communication of the church, dealing with enquiries about funerals, weddings and baptisms, preparation for Sunday services, overseeing administration relating to safeguarding.
We are looking for someone who has good IT and administrative skills and experience, along with knowledge of church life, worship and its ministry. There is a genuine occupational requirement that the person appointed should be a practising Christian.
