Birmingham City Mission
Birmingham City Mission is an interdenominational Christian charity working in Birmingham to bring the Good News of Jesus by word and deed to the people of the city. Children Worldwide (Latvia)
The vision of Children Worldwide is to train, disciple and encourage children to be enthusiastic about starting and developing a personal relationship with God through Jesus, and enable them to become an effective part of the church. Cornerstone
Cornerstone is a Birmingham-based Christian charity which works in co-operation with local churches and groups to provide a Christian presence on the High Street through coffee and charity shops, community centres and support for young homeless people. Phil and Jane Jackman
This Birmingham-based couple work with Agape (www.agape.org.uk).
Phil has a ministry amongst business people, getting alongside believers to help them articulate their faith, providing opportunities for seekers to discuss belief and bringing a biblical perspective to workplace issues.
Mercy Ships
Mercy Ships exists as a compassionate response to a world in need. Using volunteers on ships and land bases it promotes health and well-being by offering surgery to the poor in various parts of the developing world. Operation Christmas Child
Last Christmas we filled over 100 shoe boxes with gifts for children in the Third World. We hope to do the same again this year. Operation Christmas Child is part of Samaritans Purse, which funds a variety of relief projects in developing countries. www.samaritanspurse.uk.com
Soroti Diocesan projects
Several of our church members have contacts in Uganda and so we decided to target some of our giving to the northern part of the country which has suffered from the scourge of the Lord’s Resistance Army. We have helped pay for the building of a hostel for schoolgirls and to finance a clergy retreat. We also sponsor a teenage girl at secondary school. Stillwaters

Tear Fund is a well known Christian relief organisation, seeking to relieve suffering and offer hope to people in many parts of the Third World.
