Welcoming Dean,
Maria, Ethan and Ewan!
As part of welcoming Dean and Maria and the boys to their new home, we are seeking your help
On Saturday 4 September we are planning to freshen up 5 The Willows inside and out. Equally we would like to tidy up the garden and the outside of the house. So if you are able to commit to help in some way with these tasks for an hour or more please sign up on the task sheet in church or let Mike or the Wardens know
News from Val and
Henley
Many thanks for all your prayers. Our house is now
finally sold and we
shall be on the move on August 26th. Please pray for a dry day
!
Our bungalow will not be ready until mid September, so we shall be
living in our motorhome until we can move in.
" O Lord Almighty, blessed is
the man who trusts in you "
Many thanks , Val & Henley.
Return of SID
The church will be holding a Seniors Information Day at Park Hall on Friday September 17th from 10am-3pm. We have invited a range of organisations who can provide help and advice to older people and their carers such as Age Concern, Stroke association, Life Line, WEA, CAB, Benefits Officer, Leveson Centre, Falls advisor, Act on Energy and lots of others
There are lots of
ways you can help it be a big success for the community, we need:
· Your
prayers
· Volunteers on the day- no heavy work involved, just two
hours each
· Might need some lifts for people to get there
· Some of those great cakes you people make or donate
· Please tell any friends, family or neighbours who may
benefit from coming along
Flyers available soon.
If you can offer any of this help please speak to Chris
Turner, Julia Tremlett or Ruth Gardner
Sponsored Abseil!! -
THANK YOU
Ruth and Beth Hinks would like to thank all those who
generously sponsored them when they abseiled down Forte Dunlop! They raised £450 for the Birmingham MS Society.
Youth Event at
Wythall Park
St. Mary’s are helping with a Youth Event which HCLC are organising at Wythall Park on the evenings of Tuesday 31st to Friday 3rd September. Help is needed with running games, talking to the youth etc. If anyone could do 1 or more evenings that would be great. We are providing a free barbecue for the kids each night, plus music and games. If you think you might be able to help speak to Brian Lee.
Don’t
forget to keep saving 1p pieces for the
Birmingham
MS Society!
They are aiming to
collect a whole mile of pennies! This will take £804.67 worth of 1p coins!
There have been lots
of donations from St. Mary’s and so far £54 has been raised, which is more than
100 metres of pennies!!
Contact Ruth Hinks for
more details.
Thank
you!!!
