A team of 17 from St Mary’s church flew out to Uganda on Sunday 18th August 2013 for 12 days.
They visited Kira Farm Development Centre, just outside Kampala, where the Centre trains underprivileged young people in vocational life skills. This is run by Amigos charity based in Barnstaple.
They helped the students with:
– Daily tasks around the farm
– Joined in with their vocational lessons
– Ran daily sessions of the SHINE course on issues like self-worth, strength and purpose.
Thank you for all the support in fundraising.
You can see what they did out there in more detail on Uganda blog.
